Income/Expenses – November 2013

From my recurring income series: Our income and expense numbers for November:

Gross Income:  $12190  – Both had 2 paychecks plus about $600 in business travel reimbursement

Government Cut:  $2660

Net income:  $9530

Expenses:  $4150

Home $1,130
Shopping $180
Food & Dining $800
Taxes $335
Bills & Utilities $370
Auto & Transport $290
Entertainment $240
Gifts & Donations $220
Health & Fitness $90
OTHER (business airfare) $500

That means we saved $5230, including about $530 in 401k matching from the employers, which was a net savings rate of 62%.  Not the best month for these DINKs.  But it includes a good deal of spending for taking our friends from out of town for a spectacular whirlwind tour of Seattle, which was money very well spent.
